Happy New Rotary Year!
The past year has been a challenging year for all of us. The series of lockdowns, being stuck yet safe at home posed a challenge for my year as the Club’s President because we could not be as mobile and “on the ground” as we wanted to. And yet, we pulled through. We adapted to the new normal and found ways to reach out to the community and help as much as we could. We were able to provide Flu Vaccines, conduct a teacher training program for San Antonio Elementary School through Knowledge Channel— which included a comprehensive virtual library that they could use for their Online Distance Learning and donate 8 bicycles to 6 front liners to ease up the burden of their daily commute and 2 delivery riders to help them provide for their families. These are just a few highlights of the past Rotary Year where we “Opened Opportunities” for our community.
As we enter into a new Rotary Year, we are posed again with yet another threat. But despite this, let us continue to find ways to do good and to help in any way that we can. It takes just one person’s initiative to make the world a better place. We are one Club in a District filled with more than a hundred Clubs, and even a hundred more together with other Districts in the entire country, imagine what we can do to “Serve and Change Lives.” God bless us all! Looking forward to yet another successful Rotary Year ahead!
Cheers,
